The Bumble Bee is the largest of the bees we find in the UK. They will feed on nectar and collect pollen to feed their own young.
Bumble Bees are common in the garden and found on flowers. They are less aggressive than wasps and the size of their nest is also a lot smaller.
Please do not attempt to destroy a Bumble Bee nest as like the Honey Bee they play a huge part in pollination and our Eco system.
If possible please try to live and enjoy having such a beautiful insect in your garden.
There are many types of Bumble Bee and they come in all sorts of different colours. Please compare the two images above and see the different colourations they have.
